“Pride [Scott Bakula] and his team investigate the crash of a private plane in a bayou, while LaSalle [Lucas Black] and Percy [Chalita Grant] interview potential replacements for Brody,” reads the episode synopsis from CBS.

According to reports, the network and the actress agreed on a “creative decision” regarding McLellan’s exit from the police procedural drama. Her character’s romantic involvement with a Homeland Security agent. He turned out to be the mastermind behind the heightened terrorist attacks in New Orleans placed the team in jeopardy. Because her actions compromised the mission, she was no longer allowed to return.

Taking her spot is a sexy special agent, Tammy Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito). However, it looks like the team still do not trust her yet to accept her as a replacement.

In an interview with CBS 12, Ferlito recounted that her character’s experience in moving to New Orleans. The actress said joining the NCIS team mirrors her real life experience as a newbie to the show.

“You know the funny thing every script… …is very similar to my real life like coming down here into this tight knit crew,” Ferlito said.

Before coming to New Orleans, Ferlito lived with her 9-year-old son in South Florida to film Graceland. However, the 35-year-old single mom says the changes to her life is worth it. It was because her new role on NCIS: New Orleans is “so exciting and fun!”

The police procedural drama so far received an average of 1.38 rating from the 18-49 demo group and 10.501 million viewers per episode. Last week’s episode saw Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich) use his exemplary video gaming skills to air a prison break. According to TV Series Finale, the episode recorded a 1.22 rating and 9.621 million viewers.

NCIS: New Orleans Season 3 Episode 5 (Course Correction) will air on Oct. 25 on CBS.
