George Clooney and his Ocean’s Eleven co-star Matt Damon reunite as they battle to recover stolen artwork by the Nazis during Word War II in a new movie The Monuments Men. The movie is based on the true story of Robert M. Edsel’s book which is scripted by Grant Heslov and directed by the esteemed director, George Clooney.

The movie will be making its international premiere early next year at the Berlin Film Festival, and with that in mind, a brand new overseas trailer has arrived online.

As shown by the trailer, George Stout (George Clooney) is a conservationist at Harvard University’s Fogg Museum, and when the Word War II begins, Stout meets James Rorimer (Matt Damon), a curator at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art, and tells him that they can’t allow Hitler to destroy their artistic legacy. He further explains to Rorimer that they should put together a team of just seven men who could battle to save their cultural heritage.

Stout then appears to explains the plan of action to the rest of the team including Bill Murray, John Goodman and Hugh Bonneville, and tells them to show their knowledge and skills in finding and protecting of over 5 million pieces of stolen artwork.

And then the whole squad of seven men – George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban, and Hugh Bonneville – is put through a gruelling basic training in England before they embark on their mission to Germany.

The Monuments Men is set to open in cinemas on February 7, 2014.
