New Kids on the Block Goes to Summer 2015 Tour with TLC [WATCH VIDEO]

“Step by step, oh, baby. Gonna get to you, girl.” Sounds familiar? Move over One Direction because an epic throwback is on its way, as New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) will have The Main Event tour in summer 2015 with TLC. Read on for further details.

In an interview on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, NKOTB member Donnie Wahlberg was obviously excited as he declared that nothing is going to stop the classic boy band’s tour, and they always have something up their sleeves. Other members of NKOTB are Danny Wood, Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight and Joey McIntyre.


NKOTB also announced in the show that TLC’s Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, who appeared in the second episode of Patti Stanger’s “The Millionaire Matchmaker” Season 8, are going to be in the tour. Wahlberg considered their tour as “the event of the year.”

“Our fans keep asking us to come back out on the road, and we want to keep giving them what they want,” Wahlberg told “Good Morning America.”

The Main Event tour will start on Friday, May 1, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada and end on Thursday, July 2, 2015, in Buffalo, New York. Forty cities in North America will have a chance to see NKOTB perform again.

The lucky 40 cities to be visited in proper order are Las Vegas, Anaheim, San Jose, Vancouver, Tacoma, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas, New Orleans, Houston, Oklahoma City, St. Paul, St. Louis, Rosemont, Cincinnati, Nashville, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Atlanta, Louisville, Norfolk, Washington, Uncasville, Bethlehem, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Uniondale, New York, Boston, Hershey, Toronto, Montreal and Buffalo.

Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, on However, there will be a pre-sale starting Friday, Jan. 23, 2015.

NKOTB’s announcement of TLC’s involvement in their tour came after TLC’s declaration of the group’s comeback with Kickstarter’s help while they were asking for fan donations for their “final” album. Thomas said they want their fanbase to be more involved in the album process.
