New Release: More ‘Magical’ ‘Harry Potter’ iBooks From Apple Store
Potterheads have a reason to celebrate! New “enhanced” editions of the “Harry Potter” iBooks are now exclusively available for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac. Read on and learn more about this whimsical news!
Apple recently announced that Potter fans could now enjoy all seven of their favorite “Harry Potter” in a new and immersive way. What do they mean by this? Clients can download the books containing full original text, interactive animations, and extravagant drawings, taking these much-loved stories to life in a distinctive way. Fans will also find footnotes throughout their reading journey, written by J.K. Rowling herself.
“I’m thrilled to see the Harry Potter books so beautifully realised on iBooks for the digital world; the artwork and animations in these enhanced editions bring the stories alive in a delightful new way,” said Rowling.
“Harry Potter fans are going to love how their favorite stories come to life,” said Apple’s CEO Tim Cook. “J.K. Rowling’s legendary series is perfect for enjoying on your iPad or iPhone and we’re thrilled to offer them exclusively on the iBooks Store.” Cook added.
The “Harry Potter” digital books used to be only offered by the Pottermore Shop but now, iBooks customers can experience them with innovative customized covers. The exclusive also includes typography with the special “Harry Potter” typefaces. Readers can also look forward to fresh section headers and drop caps.
The iBooks Store can be accessed in 52 countries, as well as free books, available in 155 countries. The “Harry Potter” Enhanced Editions are that can be downloaded in the English language for US$9.99 each in 32 countries. Customers can also reserve and pre-order them in other languages like French, German, and Spanish. The digital books will be offered 18 additional countries on November 9.
“Harry Potter” fans can discover other enchanted content, comprising of “Harry Potter” movies, soundtrack albums, and apps on the custom “Harry Potter” page on iBooks.
