Nicki Minaj Ties Up With ABC Family To Make Comedy TV Series; Works With Myx For Breast Cancer Awareness
Tying up with ABC family was not a cakewalk for the Trinidadian-born American singer and rapper, Nicki Minaj as far as creating a television show based on her life is concerned. Read further to know more about Minaj’s television show for which the team is in the process.
The 32-year-old songwriter is all set to be the executive producer and make her appearance in the unnamed comedy series. According to Independent, the team will film a pilot this winter in “The Pinkprint” album creator’s hometown, but the rapper will soon cast a younger version who shall be around 11 or 12 years old and the adolescent star is expected to have new Minaj material in her.

“This is one of the more unique adventures I’ve ever embarked on. I couldn’t be more proud and excited to team up with an amazing group of people to give the world something really special,” Minaj said about her project that is to be accomplished in association with ABC family.
The outlet also hinted that the writer of comedy “Sex Tape,” Kate Angelo would take the onus of writing the series. The TV show will show that Minaj was born in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago and moved to New York’s Queens at an early age. Hence, the set will reportedly be prepared as Queens was during the 1990’s.
“Nicki is an international superstar, yet not everyone knows how inspiring and hilarious her true story is,” Karey Burke, Vice President (programming and development) of ABC Family said.
Social work is also a part of the daily activity of Niki Minaj and it’s October – the Breast Cancer Awareness month. HipHop DX confirmed that “The Other Woman” star is assisting the American Breast Cancer Foundation to raise money through her partnership with the moscato drink Myx.
