No Director For Sony’s ‘Uncharted’
The movie “Uncharted” originally based on a video game is under production since 2008 with a number of writer and directors moving in and out from the team. The movie seems to be progressing very slowly inch by inch within so many years with no significant work actually. In a recent update, it was revealed that the crew has now found right people only remaining a director. The movie is set to come out by 2017 only if it does not suffer anymore delay. Read on to find out more about “Uncharted”.
According to VCpost, there have been many names that indulged in the project like David O’Russell, Neil Burger and Seth Gordon. Sony is now hunting for a suitable director who is ready to take up the film and also finish it up. Goldberg and Rogen declined the directorial offer from the production house citing the reason that it is an over creative and high budget project which sounds very familiar to “Indiana Jones”.
The huge budget adaptation is speculated to star“Zero Dark Thirty” actor Chris Pratt who might take up the role of Nathan Drake followed by the cast including Mark Wahlberg, Scarlett Johansson, Joe Pesci, Amy Adams and Robert De Niro. Well, it still awaits confirmation followed by formal announcements.
The game adaptation will be a custom built for the big screen that does involve both too much of money and risk. Those who have played the game can very well understand the fact. Let’s hope the production to get a right director who could take off “Uncharted” as a successful block buster.
