In his first AMA on reddit, "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus confirms a “Boondock Saints 3” movie. Reedus was asked if the movie would happen anytime in the near future and if his "Saints" co-star Sean Patrick Flanery can possibly appear on "The Walking Dead."

“Hey good morning. Yeah it's on. In the works, happening. Sean would be great on the show he's a real life ninja,” Reedus answered.

Back in August, plot details for the third pic were revealed as well as the title, “The Boondock Saints 3: Legion.” “Boondock Saints” follows the exploits of the vigilantes, Irish American fraternal twins Connor and Murphy MacManus. Although the first movie had a troubled production and was a limited theatrical release of only five theaters for one week and was met with poor critical reviews, the film, however ultimately grossed about $50 million in domestic video sales and developed a large cult following.

Its sequel, “The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day,” takes place eight years after the events of the original "Boondock Saints," with the brothers drawn back into action after someone attempts to frame the brothers for the murder of a priest in Boston, the duo travel back to the United States to handle out their unique brand of justice. The sequel was initially released in 67 theaters in the Northeastern and Western areas of the continental US and was gradually released into more theaters in the following weeks. The film has received generally negative reviews from critics but received better audience reviews. However, it was not to the extent of the first film.

Aside from his roles as Daryl Dixon in "The Walking Dead" series and Murphy McManus in the 1999 film “The Boondock Saints” and its 2009 sequel “The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day,” Reedus also starred in the film “Hello Herman,” which opened nationwide and On-Demand on June 7, 2013.
