Norman Reedus Joins The Next ‘Silent Hill’ Video Game [WATCH VIDEO]
According to Variety, “Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus has joined on board the latest installment of the well-known horror videogame franchise “Silent Hill” from Konami. It was announced by Sony on Tuesday at the Gamescom conference in Cologne, Germany. Read on to learn more about the scoop.
Reedus, known for his role as the bow-and-arrow expert Daryl in AMC’s “The Walking Dead.” He is set to star as an important character in Konami’s newest installment of its “Silent Hill” famous franchise.
The project will be spearheaded by Mexican film director, screenwriter and producer Guillermo del Toro (“The Strain“), who was also known for his prolific works in films such as “The Hobbit” trilogy, “Kung-Fu Panda,” “Pacific Rim” and the upcoming animated “Book of Life.” He will work alongside Hideo Kojima, the creator of the top-selling videogame franchise, “Metal Gear” series. Kojima’s work spanned to eleven titles of the said series.

Sony unveiled the top secret project at the convention in an unusual manner. The company released a long teaser that spanned of an hour and 16 minutes. The videos was said to be downloadable items on the PlayStation Store under the name “P.T.” It turned out that the a man shown was Reedus’character.
It was said that Reedus will lend his voice to the character. He was also the latest actor to be captured in high-end graphics for Sony and Microsoft’s newest video game. He will join Kevin Spacey (“House of Cards“), who was previously made into a character with an uncanny resemblance to a video character. Spacey’s character was a villain in the First-Person Shooter (FPS) game entitled “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.”
Aside from his role as Daryl Dixon, Reedus was known for his roles in Murphy McManus in the 1999 film “The Boondock Saints” and its 2009 sequel “The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day.” He also starred in the film “Hello Herman”, which opened nationwide and On-Demand on June 7, 2013.
Reedus was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work as Daryl Dixon in 2012. He has also directed several videos and modeled for various fashion designers.
