“Obvious Child” Synopsis:

Donna Stern was a stand-up comedienne in a club in Brooklyn. She was open about her personal life to the point that she even shared about the details of her sex life, hence leading Sam to dump her and explicitly told her that he was sleeping with another woman. Devastated, Donna sought comfort with her best friend Nellie and her divorced parents.

After a night of drinking, Donna met Max. The two ended up in bed. He was so nice, but he was not Donna’s type. Max started courting her, and Donna had no idea on what to do. Weeks passed and she found out that she was pregnant. Abortion was in no question an option to Donna until she mustered the courage to open up to her mom about her condition. She even considered revealing her situation in the club but could not tell Max, who could not seem to understand why Donna was behaving the way she did toward him.
