Olly Murs And Caroline Flack To Host New ‘X Factor’ Series
ITV’s “X Factor” revealed duo, Olly Murs and Caroline Flack would be hosting the new series of the reality show.
This would be the first time that a duo would host the show. The announcement was made on Thursday, reported IBTimes. The report went on to say that the duo already know the material for the hosting stint since they’ve already co-hosted a spin-off show from 2011. Both Olly Murs and Caroline Flack hosted “The Xtra Factor” on ITV2 for two years.
The duo would replace Dermot O’Leary after announcing he would leave the show last month. This was after eight long years of hosting the popular TV show “X Factor”. O’Leary also took to Twitter to congratulate the newly selected hosts.
Olly Murs also tweeted that he could no longer wait until he begins hosting the Saturday night reality TV show. “X Factor” was also responsible in giving Murs his household name. Murs was also part of the show when he competed in 2009, but lose the battle to Joe McElderry.
Meanwhile, Caroline Flack also said she was beyond excited to present the show along with Murs. She said, “To have the privilege of doing this with someone who makes me laugh out loud is a massive bonus.” Flack also expressed her gratitude to Dermot and said that she was not sure whether she would be able to stick on for such long time like him.
On the other hand “X Factor” judge Simon Cowell said he was absolutely delighted that Olly Murs and Caroline Flack would return to the show. He said, “When they were on Xtra together, they were a brilliant double act. Since then, Caroline’s gone from strength to strength – and Olly has become one of Britain’s biggest stars.”
Fans would surely look out for Olly Murs and Caroline Flack along with the judges and contenders the next “X Factor” series slated in autumn on ITV.
