Olympic Medalist Gus Kenworthy Announced His Gay Status
Gus Kenworthy the Olympic medalist officially announced his gay status by posting his upcoming cover picture on the “ESPN The Magazine” on twitter. With the announcement done he becomes the most prominent gay athletes and one of the best freestyle skiers in the world. Read on to find out more revelation on the Gus Kenworthy gay scoop ahead.
It is allegedly said that his family knew about it and they are proud of Kenworthy. 24 year old skier knew that he was gay since he was five years old. Kenworthy was born in UK but he spent most of life in Colorado, US, as stated by Bleacher Report.
Kenworthy got silver medal at 2014 Sochi Games, he reached the pinnacle of his career at Sochi and gave an unforgettable performance in freestyle skiing on the heels. He stated in an interview that, he felt terrible as he performed horribly and did not come out the best freeskier in the world, and instead came second with a silver medal.
Olympic silver medalist is gearing up and working extremely hard for the upcoming X Games events and next Winter Olympics scheduled in 2018. However, everyone is yet to see what effects the recent announcement will bring. He has been widely supported by fellow freeskier like Tom Wallisch and Grete Eliassen.
Gus Kenworthy is not the only sportsperson who revealed his sexuality openly there are big names who have openly mentioned about their sexuality. Former NFL player Michael Sam from St. Louis Rams defensive end is the biggest name of all. Sam is the first publicly gay player to be drafted in the NFL.
