One Direction Doing Well Without Zayn Malik

After announcing that Zayn Malik was dropping off One Direction’s road tour in the Philippines and Indonesia to recover from stress and fly back to the United Kingdom, thousands of fans who trooped to the concert venue were still not disappointed to see their favorite pop idol band perform. The group carried on remarkably well and stepped up their game even with one member missing. Read on for more details.

As the four guys from 1D stood on stage, MTV reports that the show couldn’t have gone any better, despite Zayn’s absence. The group started their show by introducing themselves as individuals and not as a band. The report notes that this was the very same gesture Liam Payne did when Zayn wasn’t able to perform with them on the “Today” show back in November in Orlando. At that time, Zayn was sick with the stomach flu, according to another MTV report.

As for Zayn’s solos, Harry Styles apparently stepped up to do Zayn’s bits in “Little Things. On the other hand, Liam sang his friend’s parts in “Steal My Girl” and “Little Black Dress,” according to Rappler.

Fans in the Philippines, who didn’t mind getting drench as it was drizzling the night of the band’s first ever concert in the country, were thrilled by the way the Liam, Harry, Niall and Louis handled Zayn’s absence. It was pretty clear they were protecting and supporting their friend.

Movie News Guide previously reported that Malik unexpectedly announced that he was flying back home and not pressing on with the group’s Asian tour due to stress. Prior to this, his photo with another woman, shot during the band’s tour in Thailand, was splattered all over the news. He was accused of cheating on his fiancé Perrie Edwards of the Little Mix.

But the story was blown out of proportion, according to further reports. The said girl was only asking to be in the photo with Zayn. The young singer is apparently trying to patch it up with Edwards after making a statement his Twitter account when this controversy cropped up:

“I’m 22 years old. I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there’s a lot of jealous f**** in this world I’m sorry for what it looks like x.”

Perrie apparently left the home she shared with Zayn on Friday, Mar. 20, 2015.

Meanwhile, the rest of One Direction is still moving ahead with their tour in Manila, Philippines before heading to Jakarta, Indonesia next. But sources say via People that they are very much worried for Zayn and they don’t want him to quit.
