Did One Direction whip up some not-so-subtle “Haylor” reference in “Perfect”?
While the much awaited One Direction album made its appearance in the charts, another gossip tiptoed its way back to the fans, that is a few of the One Direction tracks from the new album “Made in the A.M” actually has “Haylor” reference. It’s not been long since the very world confronted a very traumatic for the eyes, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift affair. Some said it’s a complete PR stunt and surprisingly, the others were rather supportive and fond of it.
On 2012, January, Styles and Taylor Swift spotted getting cozy while being on walks and red carpet events. But on that spring the affair fell face first, leaving a very heart broken Taylor Swift and a not so bothered Harry Styles. From that time Harry styles’ references were being found in the Taylor songs namely “out of the woods”, “Style” and a few more. But the recent hit of One Direction, “perfect” has a few, very obvious “Haylor” reference. The lyrics, “if you like cameras flashing every time we go out, and if you’re looking for someone to write your break up songs about, baby I’m perfect.” Screams the infamous Styles-Swift romance reference and sung by Harry Styles himself.
As per Hollywood Life and Mashable, Apart from the evidently clear lyrics, “perfect” is the third song of the album, just like “Style” was in Taylor’s last album “1989”. One Direction recently released the video of perfect which is indeed perfect, and coincidentally it took place in New York, a place Taylor is so fond of. Dreamy cloudy sequence, Harry’s bright emerald eyes gazing in the distance, Polaroid pictures, which are quite identical to Taylor Swift’s “Style” video. But both the songs have great and catchy tunes and a few fans made a mash up of these two songs, which are surprisingly good. But all speculations aside, you can buy your copy of the “Perfect EP” and “Made in the A.M” on iTunes now.
