One Direction Works on Fifth and Last Album Before Breaking Up; Harry Styles Goes Solo

Fans of One Direction are in for a treat! Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne are working on their fifth album. But could this be their last album together?

Following the highly successful LP, “Four,” the lads are back in the studio to do what they love best.

According to The Sun, the boys initially wanted to take time off and concentrate on promoting “Four,” but obviously, they got something huge in store that they can’t just wait to share to One Directioners.

“They’ve been itching to get back recording again because it’s what they love to do, so it’s full steam ahead,” the insider revealed.

The fivesome would be working with their usual writing collaborators, Wayne Hector and Julian Bunetta, who helped penn “Best Day Ever” and “Steal My Girl.”

News about the release of the fifth album would surely squash rumors of the group breaking up. It’s been reported countless of times that Harry Styles wanted to leave the group to pursue a solo music career. Hopefully, the upcoming tour and new album would put all the speculation to rest.

According to Mirror, the One Direction’s management emphasized that Styles has no plans to release any solo material. The 20-year-old was said to focus all his energy on writing and recording new songs for the fifth album.

Last year, Simon Cowell was quoted in saying that the boys would do one more album and call it quits. Could this be the end for One Direction? We sure hope not!

Cowell added that most boy bands don’t last forever and predicted that the five would soon go on to pursue their solo careers.

What do you think One Directioners? Is the fifth album going to be their second to the last one like Simon Cowell predicted? Who do you think would have the most successful solo career? Sound off in the comments below.
