‘One Piece’ 2016 Film Will Have Eiichora Oda’s Major Involvement?
A new “One Piece” film is set to hit theaters next year, as per WSJ’s announcement and recently, the official website of the upcoming animated film has been launched. Read on for more details.
“One Piece” is one of the most watched animes all over the world and with its huge fan base that seems to be getting bigger, there is a new surprise heading. Eiichiro Oda, the creator of “One Piece” will join the development of the upcoming animated film.
Not only that, Latino Post previously reported the characters who will be in the “One Piece” film namely Mayumi Tanaka as Luffy, Kappei Yamaguchi as Usopp, Akemi Okamura as Nami, Hiroaki Hirata as Sanji, Ikue Omani as Chopper, Yuriko as Nico Robin, Kabuki Yao as Franky and Cho as Brook.
“One Piece” is about Luffy or Monkey D. Luffy, a 17-year-old pirate and his only goal to find the ultimate treasure. It must also be noted that a special episode was shown last month (August 2015) where a glimpse of Sabo was shown during the “One Piece Episode of Sabo: The Three Brothers’ Bond – The Miraculous Reunion and The Inherited Will.” After that special episode the announcement regarding the “One Piece” 2016 film was made.
Fans are excited for the upcoming “One Piece” film and things are about to get even better now that Oda is on-board. During 2000-2009, “One Piece” films opened every year in Japan and the most recent film in the franchise is the “One Piece Film Z,” which hit theaters in December 2012, and it was released in North America in September 2014.
