Oscar Isaac Talks About his Most Popular Roles in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’
With the movies he is a part of, Oscar Isaac is without a doubt Man of the moment. He plays the role of Poe Dameron in Global mega hit franchise “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” and is also going to play Apocalypse, one of the most powerful and feared mutant of the “X-Men” universe in “X-Men: Apocalypse.” What’s better than the star himself to share some details about both the movies? Here’s what he says.
When it comes to Oscar Isaac, the first movie anyone would want to talk about has to be “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” which is currently smashing all kinds of box office records, which was really quite obvious.
According to Blackfilm who interviewed Oscar about both his roles had the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” star mentioning that in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” he plays Poe Dameron, who happens to be the Resistance’ best Pilot ever.
Apart from that he also is the person you would want standing next to you in a fight. Recalling that J. J. Abrams was the reason that really made him come aboard the movie, Oscar stated that looking at the director’s enthusiasm and energy when an opportunity presented itself, he jumped at it and took the part.
What is even amazing is the fact that Oscar also has “X-Men: Apocalypse” releasing in the next few months, which will only top his performance after “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” When being asked how does it feel to be a part of two huge franchises, Oscar said that he is really thankful that he is getting so many variety of roles to play and the difference between “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and “X-Men: Apocalypse” is that both the franchises happen to be vastly different from each other and both the characters too happen to be completely different characters.
As far as his portrayal of Apocalypse goes, he mentioned that even though there are so many different versions of the character, this is his favorite version because it has elements of the 80’s mixed with something new.
The Guardian added that Oscar’s Poe Dameron would be returning for the movie’s sequel as he would be playing a key role in the trilogy.
