‘Outlander’ Season 2 Update: Maril Davis Clears Rumor About Maeve Foley Playing Brianna Randall
“Outlander” fans are very much aware that season 2 production is underway. And that being said, the Starz hit series is extending its production until New Year according to a report in CarterMatt. Aside from that, rumours about who will play the role of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) daughter Brianna Randall are being cleared.
Last week, news about Maeve Foley as Brianna Randall has resurfaced when she joined the cast. This is because she possess the qualities that are the perfect fit for Brianna.
Maril Davis, the show’s executive producer said that the Foley will not be playing the role of Brianna. Davis took to her Twitter account to clear rumours surrounding Foley during a Q&A portion she did over the weekend.
“For those asking & all REAL casting news will only come from official source like @Outlander_Starz or @sony or sometime a producer,” Davis said.
Davis also revealed that “Outlander” Season 2 is currently working on episodes 9 and 10 and that shooting of the series will be held in Scotland for the rest of the season.
Still, fans are dying to know who will be cast as Brianna. In fact, all of the new roles in “Outlander” Season 2 have been filled and it’s only Brianna’s left.
“Outlander” Season 2 will test Jamie and Claire’s relationship as they go through changes and they try to recover from past traumatic incidents. There is also Claire’s pregnancy, which will greatly affect their relationship. The good news, though, is that Balfe made clear that they will rise above such issues and come out even stronger.
“Outlander” Season 2 is set to premiere some time next year, 2016. There have been speculations that the series will air early next year, possibly any time between January-March.
