‘Outlander’ Season 2 Update: ‘Sam Heughan’s’ Jaime Fraser Hungover From the Trauma in Season 1

This droughtlander we are getting from “Outlander” is getting even more real as we pass each day without the Starz hit series. The good news, though is that almost every week, the starts of the show Sam Heughan who plays Jamie and Caitriona Balfe as Claire give out some juicy details on what to expect on the upcoming Season 2 of the series. Read on.

According to a recent report from Inquistr, Heughan shared another surprising revelation for Jamie during the recently concluded SDCC 2015. He said that his character will go through some huge changes in “Outlander” Season 2.

“Jamie’s got no responsibility, he’s pretty much out for himself, and he’s just reacting to every moment. And then Season 2 is completely different, he’s got the hangover of the trauma of Season 1, and also the responsibility of having a wife, of being a father, of becoming a parent.” Heughan said.

He said that Jamie will continue dealing with the tragic incident that happened in “Outlander” Season 1. It specifically includes his imprisonment and the battle between him and Black Jack Randall played by Tobias Menzies.

“In Season 2, he’s still trying to come to terms with the events of Season 1. But also in Season 2 he’s gone to Paris which is not alien to him, but it’s certainly not a world that he’s particularly confortable with. And he has to assume a new identity there as well. It certainly feels like he’s a different person,” Heughan said.

When it comes to his relationship with Balfe’s character Claire, in order for them to move forward their sole focus will be the added responsibilities that they are going to deal with.
