‘Outlander’ Season 2 will be Bigger and Different!
Fans were not happy when the much-anticipated second season of “Outlander” got delayed but despite all of that, fans continue to get hands on whatever updates they can get about the show. The latest update may really get fans of the show excited as it is about a wonderful addition to the show.
According to Christian Post, Scottish actor Richard Rankin has been tapped on to play a grown up version of a character that fans met in the last season. According to the network’s announcement, Richard will be playing the grown up version of Roger Wakefield who was seen in the first season of “Outlander” as the little adorable child of Reverend Wakefield.
In the second season, Roger will be an Oxford Professor with a keen interest in history and is extremely fascinated by what secrets it holds. Roger’s life is indebted to the Minister who raised him as his own after the child’s parents died in World War II.
According to Ronald Moore, who is the Executive producer of the show, this “Outlander” season will be bigger and different. Since back in the first season somewhere around the conclusion, when Claire and Jamie ended up moving to Paris, the story would continue from there itself.
He elaborated that now the story has moved to Paris, which was the then most sophisticated city in the world from the mountains and castles of Scotland. This season of the show will be hitting more of a political note since Claire and Jamie will be hatching a conspiracy to stop the Jacobite Rebellion. It would have a natural inclination towards politics and culture both.
Fashion & Style added that “Outlander” season 2 recently released a picture of what looks like a sophisticated French court. It would be interesting to watch whether Claire succeeds in her mission or not.
“Outlander” season 2 will premiere next season.
