“Outlander” stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan talked about their evolving passionate relationship in the upcoming season of the Starz series. Read below for the full details.
According to Inquistr, Balfe who plays Claire and Heughan who plays Jamie exchanged vows in “Outlander” Season 1. After everything that happened there, fans are thinking how their relationship in Season 2 will withstand the test of time as well as the new challenges coming their way.
“It felt really great. There’s been such nice stuff written about how that episode was and I think we all really worked hard to make it as real and give it the space that these two people – their love could really develop and that it wasn’t instantaneous sex and that they could just get over their nervousness and get through the night and I’m really glad that people responded well to it,” Balfe said pertaining to the wedding episode in an interview with Access Hollywood.
In Season 2, Jaime and Claire are moving to Paris, France and Claire has a bun in the oven. This is a total game-changer for the two and of course, we all know what Jaime is going through. It was after the traumatic experience he had in the hands of Black Jack Randall.
“There’s definitely a hangover after the events of season one and everything what happened in the finale. It feels like a whole new world. We’re introduced to love and characters from Diana’s books,” Heughan said.
In “Outlander” Season 2, Balfe also revealed that Jaime will be focused more in the politics of Paris. But even with that, the trauma and the pregnancy, Jaime and Claire will still find ways to make their relationship work and even stronger than before. They are going to support each other even more now and it is very beautiful.
