Outrageous ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ 2 Story Ideas: Will We See Star Lord’s Father?

“Guardians of the Galaxy” was the dark horse that came out as the big winner for Marvel. Nobody could have predicted that the movie would do such solid business and hit the right chord with the critics, but it did. The story of the misfit troupe of muddleheads and thieves delighted the audiences and went on to become one of the biggest films of the year. As Marvel is looking to make another film with the same characters, fans are already speculating what the next movie will be about. Theories abound, and some of our favorite ones are listed below.

The next “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie will be written and directed by James Gunn and is scheduled to be released on May 5th, 2017. The release date is two years away and Gunn has not revealed any plot details yet, but fans are coming up with their own theories about the motion picture. What Culture.com did an exclusive piece on the theories and we bring to you our favourites.

One fan theory says that we will see a young Star Lord again. The story might begin on earth again and tell us more about the young Star Lord’s childhood. Then the story might go into Yondu abducting Peter and tell us how it might have changed the young child’s impressionable mind. It might tell us more about Peter’s Father, whom the Star Lord meets again during his space voyages or may be even on Earth. Star Lord may also choose to return to his home planet to come to terms with his past. Another theory is that the story would go deeper into Groot’s or Rocket’s past and tell us how they got together in the first place. Maybe the next picture will have many subplots that will develop the characters in great detail.

At any rate, the new movie will be interesting to watch and will draw crowds at the box office. At least, that is a given.
