Paget Brewster Leaves ‘Criminal Minds’ Season 11: CBS Isn’t Particularly Kind To Women, Says Brewster
In the previous few months we observed the joining of some actors in CBS’ hit crime drama “Criminal Minds” season 11, and this time around we have to accept the exit of Paget Brewster. Read further to know what really happened to her.
According to Enstars, it has been a few years since the character named Emily Prentiss left “Criminal Minds” and earlier this year, the character was resurrected with the returning of 1998’s “Let’s Talk About Sex” actress Brewster. However, in a recent interview with AV Club, the 46-year-old Brewster expressed her feelings and said how she “hated” dealing with CBS and called it “scrummy.”
“I love everyone there! I hated CBS. [What they did] was just scummy. But everyone at ‘Criminal Minds’ I really enjoy and I really like and I really care about,” Brewster said.
She further went on saying that “Criminal Minds” is not only truly hard, it consumes 15-17 hours a day. Just for an example she said – “You shoot until 5, 6, 7 a.m. Saturday morning, and then you go back in at 5 a.m. on Monday.” According to Brewster, no one can go anywhere and it seems as if it becomes the whole life by taking over everything. Still Brewster loved to work for CBS’ “Criminal Minds” but she was irritated “by the experience of being fired for no reason.”
She exposed CBS saying that she was not being fired for having budget savings. The person who replaced her was offered double remuneration against what she was paid. She simply stated that CBS is a network which is not particularly kind to women and this is the result why numerous women either leave the procedurals or terminated.
But Brewster had never put down the series “Criminal Minds,” her former co-stars and the worldwide fans. She has kept a high sense of gratitude for being offered the role and she would surely love to be a guest-star on “Criminal Minds” or play Prentiss once again.
