‘Passengers’ Movie: Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt Team Up
The epic love story of sci-fi film “Passengers” will have our beloved and heart-throbbing Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt playing love interests. The Morten Tyldum film will have the romantic duo falling in love in space. The screenplay is by Jon Spaihts of “Prometheus” and “The Darkest Hour.”
The “Passengers” movie is believed to be of the realms of “Gravity” and “Interstellar.” According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR)Hollywood Reporter (THR), the epic drama is set in outer space and will have its shooting take place in Studio Babelsberg, Germany. The release date is set to be somewhere in 2016. The storyline has that there is a spacecraft that transports people to outer space. Due to some malfunction in the sleep chamber, one person wakes up and now the dying alone instincts come to bite him, so he ends up waking another passenger.
The movie is in its pre-production stage. “Passengers” movie had already hit headlines when news broke that Lawrence is having a whooping salary. The production company Sony Pictures Entertainment has won that battle. Lawrence, 24, will nab astonishing $20 million and Pratt, 35, will be receiving $12 million.
Keanu Reeves was attached to the lead male role in the film, but dropped out and the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star was signed on. Pratt was previously seen in the blockbuster hit, “Jurassic World.” He is going to be a busy man and will be seen in Antoine Fuqua’s forthcoming remake of “The Magnificent Seven.” He is also rumored to be casted for “Indiana Jones.”
The Academy Award winning actress is not free either. She is reprising her role for “The Hunger Games” series as Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.” She will also be seen in the movie “Joy” playing the role of Joy Mangano, the movie also has Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro. “X-Men Apocalypse” will have her as Raven Darkhölme / Mystique.
