Paul Reubens Set To Reprise Role In ‘Gotham’
Paul Reubens, popularly known for his character as Pee-wee Herman is said to reprise his role in “Gotham”. Reubens is said to play the role of Penguins’ father as he did in “Batman Returns”. Penguin had no father figure earlier in “Gotham” but had a strong character of his mom that was essayed by Carol Kane. Read on to find out more about Paul Reubens’ role in “Gotham”.
According CBS News, Reubens will play the role of Penguins’ father which is played by actor Robin Lord Taylor. Taylor recently broke the news on social media along with a poster or Reubens and himself. The tweet stated that Paul Reubens is set play the role of Penguins’ father and further added that he had the best television parents in fact legends.
The 63 year old actor is widely known for his developed cult figure Pee-wee which he has been developing over the years. He is completely committed to his Pee-wee role and has been doing interviews along with public appearances as the same.
The crime drama series if already underway preparation for its second season, the casting of “Mystery Men” star indicates that the show is heading towards a stylic standpoint. The show runner Bruno Heller wants the show to look like Tim Burtons’ Batman and not like Christopher Nolans’.
The writer are preferring “Batman Returns” over “Batman Begins” as the show is now settling down with more twist in the plot line. The cast of “Gotham” also include Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, David Mazouz and Erin Richards to name a few.
“Gotham” is already running into its second season which began from September 21 and has received positive reviews from the critics. Let us wait to see how and when Paul Reubens enter the series to reprise his role.
