People Magazine Awards Debut Night:  Where to Watch Live [WATCH VIDEO]

People Magazine Awards debuts on Dec. 18, 2014. The RTL CBS Entertainment HD will air the opening "The PEOPLE Magazine Awards" live via satellite on Dec. 19, 2014. Read on for further details.

The two-hour extravaganza will start at 10:00 a.m. and will include appearances by the eminent celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Hart, Kate Hudson, Michael Keaton and Jennifer Lopez, among others. The performers include 5 Seconds of Summer, Maroon 5, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani. Stefani will perform her latest single, "Spark the Fire," produced by Pharrell Williams.


Nick Cannon will host the event and will be broadcast live on NBC on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. EST. Celebrity guests include comedians Kevin Hart, Billy Eichner, musicians Josh Groban, Jennifer Lopez and actors from film and TV, like Jeff Bridges, Mindy Kaling and Kate Hudson.

People Magazine, the world’s most popular magazine, will celebrate and honor the year’s high-ranking and talked-about personalities in pop culture and Hollywood. The publication reaches more than 59 million readers each week. The People Magazine Awards is produced by Dick Clark Productions. Executive producers of the awards night are Allen Shapiro, Mike Mahan, Barry Adelman from Dick Clark Productions, joined by Carol Donovan and Michael Dempsey.

 An array of awards will be handed out with newly created award categories, covering the year in pop culture, including the Biggest Phenomenon of 2014. Moreover, the show’s top honor of the night given to the year’s Most Popular Person.  Awards in other categories include the Most Stylish Person, Funniest Person, Sexiest Woman of 2014 and more.

The worth-mentioning initiative by the People Magazine Awards is the best People cover of the year. The winners will be determined through voting. You can tweet your pick with the hashtag #PEOPLEMagazineAwards.
