Pierce Brosnan On ‘Spectre’
“Spectre” has earned mixed reviews from critics and audiences; despite going good commercially it is not able to match up to the success of “Skyfall.” The bond spy flick featuring Daniel Craig in the role of James Bond for the fourth time has reprised familiar faces from the past flicks of the series. Pierce Brosnan, who has played Bond on screen for four films before Craig has his own take on movie stating it to be weak and long. According to Hit Fix, the 62-year-old Brosnan stated that he was very excited to watch “Spectre,” but he felt the movie was too long and had a weak story line. He further praised the job of Daniel Craig and stated that he has hot a great style to play Bond with a sense of himself in it. He can definitely recreate the classical magic again with a nice crisp story. Brosnan called a great warrior too.
The “Mamma Mia!” star accepted the fact that Bond movie have recently drawn a lot of influence and inspiration from Jason Bourne series. However, he called “Spectre” neither Bond nor Bourne, maybe somewhere in between the two.
“Spectre” is the longest film of the franchise and the story line doesn’t get with the actual run-time of the flick which seemed to be the most important concern.
Pierce Brosnan had his own take on Daniel Craig’s comment of not returning to the franchise. He mentioned that he can relate to a feeling that arises after exhaustion after working with such series production. He believes that Craig will return to the franchise but after some time when he is ready to make a comeback again with commitment.
