Pink Called Demi Lovato ‘Embarrassing And Gross?’ Veteran Singer Defends Herself As Demi Fires Back
Demi Lovato fires back! Pink defends herself over her alleged dissing comments to “Cool for the Summer” singer in the last MTV Video Music Awards.
The 35-year-old “Just Give Me A Reason” singer defended herself after fans bashed her for her alleged dissing comments over the 23-year-old Lovato. The singer expressed her opinion about the last VMA performances and her comments were twisted in a very different way that led her in a Twitter feud with Lovato.
According to Gossip Cop, it all started last Thursday when Pink, who’s missing in action in the actual event gave her side on the last VMA awards night and posted it on her Instagram account.
In her post, Pink expressed that she felt old, embarrassed and sad—sad because, for her, music is supposed to serve as an inspiration. Based on her post, there were some artist who stood beyond what’s the real meaning of music, but there were singers too who’s really gross and embarrassing.
“I felt embarrassed and sad. And old. We’re getting old. But in all seriousness; I felt sad because music is supposed to inspire. It saved my life. This trash won’t save any kids life. In a world that is even scarier and with lives still worth saving, who will stand up and have soul? Disenfranchised to say the least. Let down by my industry and peers. Beside Macklemore and pharell [sic] and Bieber (pre-sob fest) and the weekend [sic], Tori Kelly was dope too. The rest was gross and embarrassing and hard for this aging pop star to believe.” —Mail Online
Since, Pink did not specifically mention the name of Lovato, many assumed that she’s referring to the singer since she’s one of the performers aside from Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj. Her comment fueled a fan war—fans started to tweet their hate to the singer. In return, Pink responds to them early morning the next day [Friday].
The singer responded to some tweets and obviously referred that she does not mention Demi Lovato or anyone else names in her post, so they better look for a feud elsewhere. However, it does not stop there as she once again posted another response to some bashers.
Lovato, on the other hand, took on her Twitter to expressed her side about this “feud” between her and the veteran singer.
Based on the report of E! News, the singer responded with a long continuous tweet about her songs and other stuff. She pinpointed that even if her song, “Cool for the Summer” is not inspirational as what the singer (Pink) said or may not save the lives of some kids, at least her songs, “Skyscraper” and “Warrior” saved people who needs help coping up with mental illness.
An hour after Lovato’s tweets, Pink once again took her Twitter to respond to Lovato’s answer (although she did not tag nor mentioned her name again, but some fans assumed that she was indeed referring to Demi Lovato).
