Kay Cannon, who gained popularity on the big screen by writing the screenplay of the very famous “Pitch Perfect” franchise, is currently in the news for coming up with her first directorial project titled “The Pact,” which will be a comedy film. Read for more information.
“The Pact” will be made under the Point Grey banner and produced by the holders of the banner meaning James Weaver, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg together with other producers like Hayden Schlossberg, Chris Fenton, and Jon Hurwitz. Nathan Kahane, Chris Cowles, and Joe Drake’s names have been finalized as executive producers for the film. The script for the upcoming movie will be re-designed by Eben Russell. He is one of the staff writers of “Last Man Standing,” as informed earlier, Russell will work on the Brian and Jim Kehoe’s written script.
If we talk about the story of the film then the main idea is based on parent’s concern for their teenage daughters. The movie will depict three parents on a mission to stop their daughters to follow the pact of losing their virginities on prom night. So, it will fun to watch the clash of two ages, how parents will save their daughters and how their daughters try to fulfill their teenage mission.
Well, the story is sounding really interesting and as it will be the first movie of Cannon as director, she will try to give more than 100 percent to it just like the TV series of Tina Fey’s “30 Rock,” for which she got nominated thrice, though, she was a writer in that.
As far as the other projects are the concern then Kay Cannon will also be seen acting in “How to be Single,” an upcoming comedy. She will also work for the third installment of “Pitch Perfect” as a writer, which is slated for Aug. 2017 release. So, all the very best to the talented lady.
