Power Ranger Actor Ricardo Medina Jr. Arrested for Murder
Ricardo Medina Jr., 37, has been arrested on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, afternoon for stabbing, Joshua Sutter, Medina’s roommate in Los Angeles, Calif. Read on for further details.
The “Power Ranger Super Samurai” star reportedly stabbed Sutter in the abdomen with a sword in a fit of rage. According to E! News, the two were having an argument until it escalated. When Medina and his girlfriend went into the bedroom, Sutter followed and tried to open the door. Medina then took his sword and stabbed Sutter.
Sutter was brought to the hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival. Medina was accused of murder and moved to Palmdale’s Sheriff Station, with $1 million bail.
Medina,who is an American actor of Puerto Rican descent, is best known for his portrayal of the character of Cole Evans, the Red Wild Force Ranger on Power Rangers Wild Force: Identity Crisis, in 2002. Recently, he starred on “Power Rangers Super Samurai” in 2012. It was a TV series featuring Japanese animation, and it was hugely criticized for its violent content when it first aired on the US Television.
