Pretty Little Liars Postmortem: Mona’s Turn on the Flashbacks
The first half of “Pretty Little Liars” Season 4 has just ended. The hashtag #RIPMona was all over Twitter after the last episode, “Take This One to the Grave,” aired. In an interview with TV Line, Janel Parrish revealed what fans can expect on her character in the next half of Season 4. Read on for further details.
Parrish started the interview with some details about how the viewers get to know Ali’s (Sasha Pieterse) character through flashbacks. And this time, it will be her Mona’s turn.
“Basically, as Alison was the flashback girl for the past three seasons, it will now be [Mona] . . . think it’s great! Even though Alison was ‘dead’ for the first three seasons, you found out everything about her through flashbacks, and now that’ll be happening through Mona,” explained Parrish to TV Line.
The attack was not shown in the finale. However, Parrish was quick to state that Mona did not go down without a fight, and more of these fight scenes will be shown in the next half.
Meanwhile, the actress further went on about how the show will reveal Mona’s past, since the character has been a mystery. Parrish also noted that she is still a series regular, only she will be seen in a different light.
Hanna (Ashley Benson), on the other hand, will be the most affected among the liars according to Parrish. The blonde has grown closer to Mona, both good and bad, and has loved her at one point.
When asked if Alison is “A,” Parrish gave a brief answer.
“It definitely looks like she killed Mona, and more will unfold as time goes on. But for now, yeah, it looks like Alison did it,” answered Parrish.
