“Pretty Little Liars” star Nia Peeples has filed for divorce from her husband, Sam George.

Nia Peeples has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband, pro surfer and filmmaker, Sam George. She reportedly submitted the paperwork in Los Angeles County Courthouse on Aug. 11. The couple had been married for eight years.

Peeples, who turned 53 this year, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for divorce in the paperwork. The couple were going to celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary soon. It is rumored that Peeples is seeking to keep a significant portion of the couple’s assets for herself.

Peeples is seeking to keep the couple’s Malibu home, which is a mobile home with a really good ocean view. That piece of property is valued at over $875,000. Other assets listed in the paperwork include a Las Vegas condo worth over ninety one thousand dollars.

Peeples rose to fame with the TV series “Fame” and has had a long career as a singer and an actress. She plays Emily Fields’ mother in the hit TV series, “Pretty Little Liars.” She has also earned recognition as Karen Taylor Winters on the TV show, ‘The Young and the Restless,” and as Sydney Cooke on the series, “Walker, Texas Ranger.”

In 2013, Peeples’ disputed mobile home was featured in an episode of the TV series, “Celebrity Wife Swap” that showed the actress trading homes with ’80s pop singer Tiffany.

Peeples has been married three times before. She has no children with her soon to be ex-husband Sam George, but she does have two children from previous marriages. She also currently runs a web based organization called Elements of Life, which is dedicated to promoting fitness, inspiration, healthy lifestyle changes and emotional well-being.

Sam George is best known for his documentary stints and his competitive surfing career.
