Prince Harry To Visit United States And Grace Events Specially Dedicated For Wounded And Recovering Servicemen And Women
A symbolic figure of power and prestige, Prince Harry, definitely makes news in all things he does. In the recent reports, he is expected to visit the United States next week to do series of charitable works. Read more to find out the details.
According to People Magazine, he will be flying to Washington, D.C. next Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015. He will show support for the forthcoming Invictus Games which will take place in May 2016 in Orlando. Moreover, he will visit the USO Warrior and Family Center, an organization that extends help to inflicted military members and to their families as well.
The British prince will also proceed to the Fort Belvoir military base located in Virginia. There, he will have a personal encounter with the servicemen and women who are rehabilitating. The official Twitter account of Kensington Palace posted about his United States visit.
In the report from E! News, Prince Harry will be with Dr. Jill Biden and US First Lady Michelle Obama at the Fort Belvoir military base. The two will also accompany the royal icon in the USO Warrior and Family Center. They will attend to the sports events which will be seen soon in the Invictus Games. He is the Patron of its foundation whereas Biden and First Lady Obama are some of its huge supporters.
Aside from the sports events, he will also attend the board meeting of this foundation. The Invictus Games began last year and it is dedicated for the physically inflicted servicemen and women. This is quite similar to the Paralympics which give an equal opportunity for the PWDs to showcase their prowess in sports.
The said visit will likewise give attention to the programs for the military members who are suffering from mental health issues such as PTSD.
The presence of Prince Harry will definitely boosts the morale of the servicemen and women. Hopefully, more programs will be accomplished for them.
