Prince William Stands For His Advocacy In Helping Homeless Youth; Reassures Support For The Charity Group He Worked With For Years
Prince William is not simply a royalty symbol of England because he uses his influence to make a difference in the society he is serving. He is very active in various charitable works and other activities that provide help for the marginalized sectors. Recently, he has given the reassuring support for an organization he has worked with for a decade.
According to People, Prince William graced the first Centrepoint awards held in London last Thursday, Nov. 19. They are giving a safe haven for young individuals since their inception in 2005. This advocacy is close to his heart because this is the same issue that Princess Diana supported.
Prince William gave a speech to the attendees regarding how this organization addressed the problems of the juvenile.
“Ten years ago, Centrepoint was one of the first charities that I officially became associated with. During that time, I have seen the charity adapt to the challenges of tackling youth homelessness with continued optimism and enthusiasm.” Prince William said.
Prince William is aware too of the impending “Some young people can find themselves denied the most basic of comforts, such as a safe place to sleep, a guaranteed source of food or simply someone to turn to for advice. This can often be due to reasons beyond their control. ”
Express reported that the prince is looking beyond the physical aspect regarding the problems that being homeless can have an impact. “But the challenges can also be deeper than having a safe place to stay. The impact of homelesseness is not temporary. All too often, a person’s long-term mental and physical health, education and sense of self-worth can also be at risk.” he emphasized.
He posed a challenge for everyone to take part, “Ending youth homelessness remains an urgent challenge – too many in society are still unaware of just how many young people need our help.”
If Princess Diana is alive today, she would be so proud of Prince William.
