Princess Charlotte’s Royal Christening: Famous Photographer Mario Testino Will Take The Official Photos Of The Event
Princess Charlotte, the 2-month-old younger child and only daughter of Prince William and Kate, will be christened this coming Sunday, July 5. It has been officially confirmed that the popular photographer Mario Testino will be capturing special moments from the christening party.
According to US Weekly, Kensington Palace confirmed on Tuesday, June 30, that “renowned shutterbug Mario Testino” would take the photo shoot of the special moments from the christening event of Princess Charlotte. The christening party would be held following the baptism of the royal child on Sunday, July 5.
The source also added that Testino has already photographed the Royal Family members on many previous occasions and events. He took the official photographs of Prince William – Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine – Duchess of Cambridge, during their engagement. He has photographed also The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, and Diana, Princess of Wales. He has also taken iconic photographs of Madonna, Meg Ryan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Moss, and Gisele Bundchen.
E! Online reported that the world-renowned Mario Testino is excited for being chosen to take the photographs of the youngest Royal’s christening event.
“I am overwhelmed and honored to be chosen to document this occasion and to carry on the documentation of the family that is the soul of this country, a country that has given me so much,” the vogue photographer said through press release.
The source also reported that Testino is highly talented in photographing and documenting royal engagements. He was the photographer of the beautiful Vanity Fair photo shoot of late Princess Diana in 1997, added the source.
