Prison Break Newest Season: Who Will Return In The Series With Michael Scofield?
The epilogue of Prison Break’s last season showed the good guys enjoying their peaceful and safe life. It also depicted Michael Scofield’s death as his friends, son, and wife visited his grave. Now that there are confirmed reports that a new season will be broadcast next year, who are the characters that may return in the story?
According to Christian Post, the Scofield brothers are expected to be in the latest season. The announcement was made by CEO and Chairman Gary Newman earlier this year.He said “It’s going to bring back both brothers, [played by] Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell,”
So, how will the creative team behind the series highlight Michael’s revival from the death? Or did he fake his death to protect his family and friends? Viewers must definitely stay tuned how it can possibly happen.
Aside from the genius structural engineer, other characters that fans hope to be back are Sara, Mahone, and T-Bag to name a few.
Sara has been with him though all the ups and downs and all the other trials in their relationship. It would be good to see a family bonding moment with their child. But, actress Sarah Wayne Callies who portrayed the character of Dr. Tancredi currently has a tight schedule. This is a challenge for the writers to maximize Sara’s appearance in the show and probably that can be done through flashbacks.
A lot of fans want to see Alex Mahone as well since he appears to have unresolved issues with his life. His inner turmoil may affect the plot in the next season. To make it more thrilling, an antagonist must return and T-Bag would be perfect for the task. Last season, he was jailed by the Scofield brothers even though he pleaded since he betrayed them by siding the enemy.
Co-CEO and Chairman Dana Walden said, “It’s going to take a little bit of a detour from where we left off [with the straight-to-DVD coda], but it should feel very satisfying and event-ized. Fans will be excited about seeing these characters back together again.”, as reported by TVLine.
Prison Break will return in 2016 with 10 episodes.
