Priyanka Chopra Gets Tons Of Support As ‘Quantico’ Aired First In The U.S.
Priyanka Chopra, who recently transitioned from Bollywood to Hollywood with ABC’s newest crime-thriller “Quantico,” got tons of support from her fellow actors as it premiered in the U.S. last Sunday- a week before it will grace Chopra’s homesoil, India.
In a report from First Post, the Miss World 2000 winner was showered with numerous praises from the Twitterverse, all excited to view the entirety of “Quantico.”
Sophie Choudry yearned to be in U.S.A. just for the premiere of the show as she tweeted: @Sophie_Choudry Really wish I was in the USA tonite just to see @priyankachopra tear it up!! So damn proud of u babe😘❤️ #Quantico #breakingbarriers #respect
“Tamasha” actress Deepika Padukone gave a ton of affection by tweeting: “Loads and loads of love @priyankachopra! #Quantico.”
The 1994 Miss Universe winner Sushmita Sen posted: “Enjoy the butterflies @priyankachopra for #Quantico is about to explode for us… You’ve already ARRIVED! India isproud of you! Go get them.”
In return the “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” actress revealed her fan girl mode with an honest to goodness response: “Thank u so much @thesushmitasen You’ve been my fave since you won miss universe at 18! I remember your cut out on my wall.”
“Quantico” is the 33-year-old actress’ break-out role into an international audience. Chopra plays the titular character of FBI recruit Alex Parrish who gets embroiled in a terrorist attack which zeroes her in as the prime suspect. Joining the A-List Bollywood actress in the series are Jake McLaughlin, Yasmine Al Massri, Tate Ellingto, Brian J. Smith, Johanna Braddy, and Graham Rogers.
“Quantico” showrunner Joshua Safran was quoted in Entertainment Weekly advising their newfound audience to make a chart in order to deduce the identity of the guilty party themselves. The series is prepared in a way that the viewers have been given a chance to play a sleuth themselves as flashbacks are use in the story arc to reveal each character.
“Every week, write down who you think is guilty, who you think is not guilty. People’s loyalties are going to change from week to week.”
Chopra now belongs to an elite circle of actors of India descent that have carved their name in Hollywood, other actresses include Mindy Kaling of Hulu’s “The Mindy Project” and Kunal Nayyar of CBS’s “The Big Bang Theory.”
‘Quantico’ will be aired in India on October 3 on Star World and Star World Premiere.
