Producer David Heyman Reveals ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ Production Update

Warner Bros. appears to have affixed all of its focus in the creation of the DC Cinematic Universe with the premiere of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” next year, but it seems that they are also furthering their production for the wizarding world with “Harry Potter” spin-off franchise “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Read on to know more about the details of this scoop.

The DC Cinematic Universe may turn out to be a promising franchise, but there’s one franchise that certainly brought Warner Bros. to its apex as a studio company, and that’s the wizarding world of Harry Potter. With a total of eight films, the franchise amassed about $7.7 billion grossing in the worldwide box office. Now, they are furthering their assured efforts in the creation of the franchise’s spin-off, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”

According to Screen Rant, Warner Bros. Pictures view the franchise of the wizarding world to be an obvious opportunity for continued success. And in their latest update, they announced that the spin-off “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” will be turned into a three-quel feature to be shown in the successive years of 2016, 2018 and 2020. For that, producer David Heyman revealed that the film will enter the production phase late summer of this year. The backer indicated how paced the pre-production is turning out to be with most of the franchise’s team intact.

“The experience of conjuring up these worlds is such fun.  So to do it with [Rowling] and with Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram is involved too, and with David Yates, and Stuart Craig will be designing it – it’s great.  It’s exciting. And it’s a great world to return to,” Heyman optimistically said on Collider.

With most of the behind-the-scene personnel still intact, fans can expect a familiar yet entirely new approach to the Wizarding World. Helmsman of the last four “Harry Potter” films, David Yates, is expected to direct with a screenplay created by the author herself, J. K. Rowling. A movie that is created based on the Hogwarts text book bearing the same name, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” will be about the adventures of its author Newt Scamander and it will premiere on theaters on Nov. 18, 2016.
