‘Prometheus 2’ News Updates: Filming In Australia; Reason For ‘Alien 5’ Release Date Delay?
Prometheus sequel, “Prometheus 2 – Alien: Paradise Lost” recently announced that they will start filming in Australia in January. Ridley Scott and her company have already started the preparations to shoot in the said setting. Australia’s joy is unspeakable as several websites confirms this reports.
Ridley Scott will be producing this movie with Twentieth Century Fox. Together with the “Prometheus 2”, Marvel Studious “Thor: Ragnarok” will also be filming in Australia. These two featured films will start shooting from 2016, Scified reported.
This is expected to result in a $300 million dollar investment in Australia’s economy and almost 3,000 jobs in using business services in the country.
Meanwhile, “Alien 5” by Neil Blokamps is said to have the same release date in 2017. Speculations have risen that “Prometheus 2” is the reason why “Alien 5’s” release keeps on delaying. The latter was reported to be the direct sequel of Ridley Scott’s 1979 “Alien” and James Cameron’s “Aliens” as well. Character Ellen Ripley is said to be reprised by Sigourney Weaver and will be facing a great anticipation of fear with Xenomorph again, Crossmap reported. She was also rumoured to appear in “Prometheus 2”
Both are under Twentieth Century Fox’s roof. Though, the two movies have a close distance in the filming timetable, Neil Blokamps and Ridley Scott are still coordinating with each other. Blokamps even said in an interview that he once sent a title that he wanted.
“Alien 5” already started its pre-production last March, making Neil Blokamp as their new Director. On the other hand, “Prometheus 2” will be directed by Ridley Scott and penned by Jack Paglen. They are still in negotiation with Rik Barnett, Michael Fassbender, and Noomi Rapace.
This year, superhero movies will be followed Alien movies. What a great comfort for movie lovers! Stay tuned for more updates.
