Raven-Symone’s Dad Expresses Distaste In Daughter’s Take On ‘Ghetto’ Names

Raven Symone’s dad had something to say about her daughter after her controversial remark on “The View” regarding “ghetto” names. His dad didn’t hesitate to say things harshly to her daughter after she expressed her view that has upset many viewers.

Christopher B. Pearman definitely knows how to be a father. On his Facebook post over the weekend, he said that he doesn’t want to be affiliated with the “Dumb S#%T” his daughter says on “The View.” Here is an excerpt from his open letter to Raven posted on his Facebook account:

“Children grow up and become influenced by many things, situations and people. I certainly don’t agree with what she said… but she is damn near thirty years old. She’s a grown ass woman making grown ass mistakes. We all have been guilty of this.”

Raven-Symone expressed her opinion on the Thursday episode of “The View.” She said that if she were an employer she wouldn’t consider hiring anyone with a “ghetto” name. This caused an outrage from most of the viewers all over the world.

“Just to bring it back, can we take back ‘racist’ and say ‘discriminatory,’ because I think that’s a better word. And I am very discriminatory against words like the ones that they were saying in the video. I’m not about to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea. It’s just not going to happen. I’m not going to hire you,” she said.

What do you think of Raven’s comment? And her dad’s take on what she said? Yeah, parenting can be really tough especially if you have an outspoken daughter like Raven. Share your views about the duo, father-daughter, in the comments below.
