Ready To ‘Meet The Beatles:’ Warner Bros In Development Of The Idea?
“The Beatles” remains one of the greatest and highly influential rock band worldwide till date. It is reportedly said that Warner Bros is developing the idea of creating an animated musical fantasy titled as “Meet the Beatles.” “Paddington” director Paul King will be taking the charge of direction. There have been no specific details revealed except that “Meet the Beatles” is going to emphasis on an original member of the band and will make use of original discography of band.
However, this is not the first time the band has come up as a subject for filmmakers; remember the 1968 classic animation “Yellow Submarine” that also highlighted original songs of “The Beatles.” One can’t forget the animated ABC series that ran from 1965 to 1969 which was similar to “Yellow Submarine.”
There have been many projects already done on the band but the fact remain still head strong that they are still being loved to watch and have tremendous fan following even is this era.
According to Rotoscopers, director King will be joined by producer David Heyman for the project. The classic animation will be based on the screenplay by Jared Stern along with Courtenay Valenti and Racheline Benveniste on board who will look after “Meet the Beatles” for Warner Bros.
Paul King does not have a big list of commercially successful films but yes, rom-com “Paddington” based on “Paddington Bear” by author Michael Bond seems to have changed his career path for sure. King is also said to be working on another adaptation “Wonder” for Lionsgate which is being written by R.J. Palacio.
