Reese Witherspoon Cast As ‘Tinker Bell’ In Disney’s Live Adaptation Movie
Reese Witherspoon whose latest film “Hot Pursuit” is still running in theatres has already lined up her upcoming projects. “This Means War” star has chosen to play the role of Tinker Bell, a classic character from Peter Pan’s story. The movie will be turned into a live action movie titled “Tink” to be produced by Disney. The actress will also be involved in the production of the movie along with starring in it.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that the upcoming movie will have Bruna Papandrea, the actress’s partner in her production company Pacific Standard coming aboard as a co-producer. Victoria Strouse who has recently penned the script for “Finding Nemo” sequel “Finding Dory” will be writing the script for this one however a director has not been finalized yet.
Other details of the upcoming film has been kept under the wraps but will take an alternative timeline from the Peter Pan story just like the way “Maleficent” did with adapting the evil witch’s story from Sleeping Beauty. Angelina Jolie’s performance as the evil witch was appreciated all over. One other thing that will be different in “Tink” would be the budget. Every Disney movie is significantly known for being grand in budgets, but this movie will be produced in a medium range budget.
The character of Tinker Bell is known as one of the most popular characters in the Disney universe and in most cases she has been a silent character but is often known as the one who can grow to be extremely jealous because of her love for Peter, the boy who wouldn’t grow up. Apart from the Disney movie, the actress also has another drama movie called “Pale Blue Dot” which will again have her as the lead and see her producing it.
According to IGN, “Tink” is one of the upcoming projects that Disney has lined up to produce and release alongside Winnie the Pooh and Beauty and the Beast.
