‘Resident Evil 6: The Final Chapter’ Movie Update: Ali Larter Returns As Claire Redfield; Release Date Set To 2016

It looks like the next movie in the “Resident Evil” franchise is finally ready for shooting. The production crew has finally decided to take it forward despite difficulties and unforeseeable snafus. This movie was supposed to be released in the near future, but problems made the producers push the release date to 2016. The filming has finally been scheduled for late August as all the cast are now available for production and shoots.
Previously, many in the cast were busy with other projects. Ali Larter, who plays Claire Redfield in the film was busy with the TNT drama series, “Legends.” She co-stars with Sean Bean in the series. The former “Heroes” star finally gave her approval to the “Resident Evil” team recently and the cameras are ready to roll again. Larter will be reprising her role as Claire Redfield, a character which was last seen in “Resident Evil : Extinction” and “Resident Evil: Afterlife.” Deadline first reported the news.
Larter will work with Wentworth Miller and Milla Jovovich in the next movie. Bingbing Li is also all set to play the role of Ada Wong in the movie. The movie will be directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.
The production of the film faced another deadlock in August 2014 when Jovovich had found out that she and her husband were expecting their second child.
Shooting schedule is finally back on track with Jovovich getting time off from parenting duties and everybody in the cast having enough dates free for shooting.
