‘RHOA’ Star Cynthia Bailey Wants to Hug It out with NeNe Leakes
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” (RHOA) star Cynthia Bailey revealed more of her thoughts regarding her broken relationship with co-star NeNe Leakes. Read on to know her revelations.
In Bailey’s podcast interview with HollywoodLife.com, the “RHOA” star said she is hoping to completely reconcile with Leakes. She described herself as an optimistic because she believes that she never did anything wrong to Leakes. She emphasized that she never bashed her. She said she was positive enough to see herself working with Leakes in the most cordial way possible.
“Usually, if I stop being friends with you, I don’t have to ever see you again, but if we work together, I think as grown women, we should be able to respect each [other],” Bailey told HollywoodLife.com.
Sadly, Bailey admitted thinking that she and Leakes would never be best friends again. The least she could hope for is closure. She still felt wholeheartedly that they should “hug it out and move on.” She insisted that she has no “ill-will” toward Leakes. She said that she is not the type of person to hold grudges because it affects her “karma” and “energy,” and made it clear that she does not like negativity.
As fans have seen on “RHOA,” Bailey and Leakes’ fight started when Leakes called Bailey’s husband, Peter, a “bitch.” Bailey blamed Leakes for worsening her relationship with Peter worse. She burned their friendship contract on the seventh season of the show. Co-star Kandi Burruss prepared a dinner meeting with all the Housewives to settle their differences. It resulted in an intense drama, especially with Leakes, who cried a lot while telling Bailey that she loved her “like a sister.”
Leakes and Bailey are giving the cold shoulder to each other nowadays, based on the latest episodes. Claudia Jordan recently took the spotlight in enraging Leakes. Their fight began in Puerto Rico when Jordan lashed out at Leakes, Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams for criticizing Demetria McKinney’s relationship and career.
“RHOA” airs every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. on Bravo.
