Richard Gere Dating Half His Age Socialite Alejandra Silva
They proved it! Age doesn’t matter with this new couple when “Pretty Woman” actor Richard Gere and Spanish socialite Alejandra Silva made their first public appearance as a couple after attending the red carpet night of the 61st Annual Taormina Film Festival in Sicily where Gere received an award.
E! news confirmed that the 65-year-old actor is dating the 32-year-old daughter of businessman Ignacio Silva, the former financial vice president of the pro football club Real Madrid. It was reported that the two have been going out for a year now, hiding it from the public and making it more private as much as possible but not to their closest friends and families.
The pair who stepped out together for the first time was also spotted on a yacht off the coast of Acitrezza on Monday where they were seen flaunting a bit of PDA. They were pictured kissing and relaxing under the sun.
In the photos posted online, Alejandra was seen showing off her toned body, wearing a tiny white bikini while her partner, Richard, was on his pair of blue shorts while enjoying both presence and laying on a lounge sun, before taking a dive into the sea to enjoy the cool water.. At one point, the blonde beauty was seen sitting on Richard’s lap while putting her arm around her beau.
Speaking of their relationships both had already been married before but eventually got divorced. Alejandra has one son with her ex-husband Govind Friedland, whose father is the billionaire mining tycoon Robert Martin Friedland while Richard, who have a 15-year-old son, Homer with his then-partner for 11 years, actress Carey Lowell, 54. They split in September 2013 and are still finishing the details of their divorce due to some disagreements over how the actor’s $100 million fortune will be divided up.
It’s not new for us to hear news about a May-December love affair, but it takes guts to publicize it. Will they survive the public’s criticism and have a stronger relationship or will they have to experience another split up?
