Rihanna Teases About ‘R8’ Album Release Date; Launch at Grammy Awards 2015?

Fans of Rihanna are in for a big surprise! Her latest eight album may just come out sooner than you think.

According to LatinoPost, Rihanna might just give her fans a treat as she launches her highly anticipated “R8” album at this year’s Grammy Awards.


“R8” is expected to be massive, with collaborations from other artists such as Ne-Yo, Kanye West and Calvin Harris.

Sam Smith also recently hinted that he was part of “R8” during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“I’m personally very excited for Rihanna’s new album. I know some stuff about that record that no-one knows,” he shared, as reported by MTV.

It’s unclear if the he and Rihanna had a duet, but the songwriter has previously written tracks for other artists including Mary J. Blige, among others, so he could have simply written a song for the “Diamonds” singer.

A week ago, a demo cut from the album titled “World Peace” made its way to YouTube. It’s still not been confirmed if the new song was part of the “R8” or if it was even Rihanna on the track. Her record label did not show any signs of panic or even released a statement calling to take down the video which could suggest that the track was not even hers.

Rihanna may be taking her time with on her new album, but she sure is not behind the love department. The singer was spotted hanging out with Leonardo DiCaprio several times. The two even spent the New Year’s together!

In a recent party at the Playboy Mansion, a source from Urban Islandz claim that the two packed some serious PDA during the even and even left together.

“They looked like two people in love, there were a lot of kissing and affection between them and everyone noticed,” the insider revealed.
