Jane and Korsack arrive at Linda’s RV. She tells them that she and Mark dated for a while. She shows them a note and tells them that everyone accused him of cheating.
Skeet sees Jane and gives her a book and a bottle of champagne. He invites her once again and leaves.
At the lab, Maura tells Jane that the fish in the tank was different. She tells Jane that either Mark was cheating or he found out someone was cheating.
Nina runs down the suspects to three including Jones, Davis, and Butler. Frankie comes up wearing Korsack’s punishment. He tells them Jones and Davis are already at the station and both were caught cheating.

Jane and Maura try searching for evidence while boating. They discuss Skeet until Maura spots something.
Jane interrogates Butler. It turns out that he always placed second in the tournament. He insists that Mark was a cheater. He tells her that he parked his RV next to Linda’s and heard them fighting.
Maura returns to the lake with Kendrick to go to Mark’s last fishing spot. They find out the shot came from someone at the shore.

Skeet comes in at the station again. He asks her out for dinner. She tells him that she’s not interested in him, but he tells her that her body language says otherwise.
Jane tells Maura that something was different from the way Carla and Linda talked about Mark. Maura considers the possibility that Linda was still in love with Mark.
The next day, Jane asks Linda. She points out that of the 8 tournaments he participated in, she officiated six of them and he won first place. Korsack enters and shows her the weapon that Maura found at the lake.
Linda confesses that she cheated for him. Things changed when Mark received the deal. She tells them that he wanted to move back in with his wife. She told him the truth about her cheating for him. He wanted to tell everyone the truth, but she couldn’t let him do that.
Skeet is waiting for Jane. He apologizes for making her feel uncomfortable. He asks her to watch the sunset with him. Outside, Skeet toasts to him thinking about her for the rest of his life. He shows her that he named his boat as “Janester.” She asks him to give her a call when he returns to Boston.
