Robert Downey Jr. Labels ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ as the Best Marvel Movie
With change in the story line and visual effects, come a change of perception for “Iron Man” actor Robert Downey Jr. as he teases that upcoming ultimate superhero film “Avengers: Age of Ultron” will be Marvel’s greatest film to date. Read on to know more about the details of this scoop.
Marvel has certainly served as a great avenue as recognizers of manifold talents and making them the next big thing. Of the many actors that they’ve managed to put into the spotlight, Robert Downey Jr. claims first place without a doubt. With that, he’s been labeled as this year’s highest paid actor. He’s become so famous that every word he utters is something that everybody should take into serious account. That is why when he remarked what the best Marvel film to date is, everyone’s ears were attuned to him.
Cinema Blend reports that while the actor is busy promoting his nonsuperhero film, “The Judge,” it’s very much inevitable that questions about his other (bigger) project is bound to arise during his interview with Social Chicago TV. When asked about his latest opinion on the upcoming Earth’s Mightiest Heroes installment, expectations just got higher. He labeled the film as the BEST Marvel movie to date.
“This new Avengers may well be the best Marvel movie, and by the way that’s saying a lot, because I thought Guardians of the Galaxy was great. Iron Man 3 turned out great, and Cap 2 was awesome. And they’ll be some surprises in the next little while too,” exclaimed the highest paid actor of Hollywood, as published on Cinema Blend.
There is certainly a change of perception on that matter. Giving us a look back, Comic Book reported that it was during the premiere of “Guardians of the Galaxy” that Downey started to praise the film for its greatness. Recalling what he said, “Galaxy in some ways is the best Marvel movie ever. And it’s odd for someone with — on occasion — an ego the size of mine to actually say that!”
Talk about the ultimate expectation boost! With countless teases and information being laid out into the open (plus, the eagerness of a few Comic-Con (New York and San Diego) goers getting a glimpse of a few footages of the film), time can only tell before this intense anticipation gets alleviated from all of the excitement Marvel is giving. From all of these postive remarks, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” should really live up to its expectations, if not supersede, once it opens in theaters on May 1, 2015.
