Even the strongest competitors like the champions encounter defeat too in their career. As for Ronda Rousey who once have a clean record in UFC, it came as a shock for the spectators of the sporting event because the odds were against Holly Holm. They dueled in the octagon last Nov. 14 and since then, Rousey has neither released a statement nor did an interview until she broke her silence recently.

According to Yahoo! Sports, she gave an interview to ESPN The Magazine that will be available next week. People Magazine showed a glimpse of it. Getting over the last match isn’t an easy thing to do as she shared that the loss made her “really f***ing sad.” In this interview she also revealed the effect of sustaining an injury.

Rousey explained, “It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact.” Although the stunning headkick of Holm landed on her neck, obviously she’s enduring the most painful effect on her mouth because of those loose teeth. This is in addition to the split lip that has to be stitched up. It will take a while before she can fully be back in top shape.

This statement dismisses the rumors about what really are her injuries. Some claimed she has a broken jaw. In a report from Hollywood Gossip, there were speculations that she needed plastic surgery. When she was first seen in public after the fight, the former champion immediately covered her face away from the paparazzi, hence, it added to the speculation that she sustained injuries worse than how these appeared to be.

The anticipated rematch between them is already confirmed by the UFC President Dana White. For now, she is trying to be more positive. “Maybe I can’t do it all before my prime, before my body is done. But f*** it, maybe I can,” she said.
