Ronda Rousey Predicted Her Surprising Loss To Holly Holm Much Earlier in October?
Ronda Rousey had indeed seemed to be unconquerable after her victories in her last three fights but lost her bantamweight belt in the women’s “Ultimate Fighting Championship” (UFC) on Sunday. She was defeated by Holly Holm, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
The all-decisive fight lasted for hardly five minutes and was a complete reversal of her previous successes. Moreover, after the fight ended, Rousey lied unconscious for a brief period after Holm kicked to her head during the match.
When the fight was in its second round, it was called off and as a precautionary measure; Rousey was admitted to a local hospital.
Thus, the 12-match winning streak of Ronda Rousey came to a sudden end on this Sunday. She faced a knockout defeat that was both brutal, as well as, shocking by her opponent, Holly Holm.
Rousey’s defeat came as a big shock to her fans but as it turned out, the 28-year-old fighter had predicted earlier that she could come down in exactly the same manner.
It was her appearance on “The Tonight Show” in the month of October this year, when Rousey had revealed that she sees her opponent Holm, 34, as a big threat though the latter is a nice girl and did not have anything against her.
While speaking to Jimmy Fallon, Rousey praised Holm saying that she was an amazing athlete and was her biggest threat both stylistically, as well as, on paper.
Rousey also said that one has to be very patient with a fighter like Holm. In fact, the fighter even went on to say that her opponent will wait until she makes a mistake and may try to kick her in the head.
It was uncanny how that was the exact way Ronda Rousey was brought down by Holm that left her unconscious.
