Rosie O’Donnell Kicked Out of ‘The View’ for Rude Behavior Towards Whoopi Goldberg?
Rosie O’Donnell is reportedly getting kicked out of “The View” — again. This time, it just might be for good. TMZ claims that her “rude attitude” and “toxic behavior” was just too much for her co-hosts and producers to handle. Read on for further details.
O’Donnell was reportedly causing so much “turbulence and division” on the show that producers are considering axing O’Donnell. True enough, an insider revealed that Rosie’s days are numbered, and she might not be brought back for the next season of “The View.” The second time is not the charm after all for the daytime host.
To make the matters worse, sources of Radar Online reports that the show’s producers blamed “The View”s decreasing rating to the host’s untoward attitude and the related controversies that had come up since she returned to the program. This is quite unfortunate as O’Donnell was actually brought back in the hopes that her return will fire up the ratings.
O’Donnell had just recently returned to the show following her dramatic exit in 2007. Fox News claimed that she was “outraged” when she found out that Whoopi Goldberg would retain her spot as a moderator — the same position she’s held since 2007. Apparently, O’Donnell thought that she would be reprising the role, but Goldberg would not step down. Rumor has it that it’s not only Goldberg that has experienced O’Donnell’s stuck up behavior. The host had allegedly rubbed co-hosts, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace, the wrong way with her condescending attitude.
A source from Inquistr shared that the host was retaliating by shutting down and stirring up commotion both on and off camera. She was believed to be “very depressed” and had few interactions with people on the set. In the rare moments that she does, O’Donnell was allegedly rude to her co-hosts, staff and crew. The show’s executives reportedly wanted her gone as soon as possible before she drags down the program even further.
However, fans of O’Donnell need not to worry just yet. A representative from “The View” clarified that the news was nothing but a “fabricated story.” They claimed that O’Donnell was not leaving “The View” and clearly understood Goldberg’s position.
“Whoopi is the moderator and has been since she was hired in 2007. Rosie O’Donnell knew that before she took the job,” the rep added, as published on Inquistr.
